My Halter Goes to You.

My name is George, I met Allen, Nancy, and Corri from The Healing Barn three years ago when they had heard about me. Some one told them I had never been out of my stall and that I still had my baby halter on. I was a big boy then, and my halter had grown into my skin and I had a bad infection all over my face. I had so much pain, I could not stand for any one to touch me, I was very afraid. I was especially afraid of the outside because I didn't know what it was. When I came to The Healing Barn I had to go into isolation because I had gang green infection and it was spreading to my eyes, nose, and throat. The burn and pain I felt was very bad. I had drainage coming out of my nose and eyes. Thank God the people from The Healing Barn came and rescued me. It took me a couple months to heal, but now I am great! I am learning how to have a saddle on and some day I will have a person to ride me. I am 5 now, and can't wait to learn how to ride now that my face is healed. Thank you for reading my story and for caring. I have a lot of friends here at the barn that I could tell you about. Before I go, I would like to tell you about one of my special friends (well she's a girl and a friend, so I guess she is a girlfriend). Her name is Fancy. WOW, is she beautiful. She is very tall and thin with brown splashes on her white coat. They call her a paint mare, but I am not sure what that means, I just know she is cute, and she lets me hang with her. Sometimes I will scratch her back if Bit the BOSS isn't around. I think Bit likes Fancy too. Fancy used to run barrels really fast at shows. Now she stays with me and lives a quiet life. We run in the pasture together, she is really fast. Even though she is really fast, I can keep up with her just fine, in fact I would like to run fast at a show one day! Sometimes she teaches me at night. Well, so long for now!
